Daugherty Encourages Women In Tech With GREATMINDS Sponsorship

In the fall of 2016, Daugherty Business Solutions sponsored Girls Reaching for Education About Technology and Moving in New Directions for Success (GREATMINDS). This Alliance of Technology and Women event encouraged young women in the Dallas region to pursue careers in STEM through community programs. In addition to serving as a sponsor for this event, our team had the opportunity to participate, attending the event in a mentorship role for these incredible young women.

Since becoming involved with the Alliance of Technology and Women, Daugherty Business Solutions has also had the opportunity to work with one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States to establish a Women in Technology program with a similar goal of introducing young women to mentors and role models in the Dallas community.

Daugherty Business Solutions has made the commitment to help youth in our community learn about the opportunities that a career in technology can provide. Specifically, we have dedicated ourselves to promoting STEM initiatives and focusing our mentoring efforts to help young women feel confident that they can thrive in the technology industry. As our branch in Dallas has continued to grow, the team has invested time and energy to ensure that they are aligning themselves with organizations that value these same initiatives.
