Pitching for a Cure with The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

For the past seven years, Daugherty Business Solutions has teamed up with the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to raise awareness about cystic fibrosis by having a youth ambassador throw a first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease in which a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs causes persistent infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. While a cure does not exist at this time, there have been significant advancements to increase expected lifespan and quality of life.

Daugherty is committed to raising awareness and finding a cure to this life-threatening disease. CEO Ron Daugherty sits on the Board of Directors for the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has used the first pitch opportunity for the past five years to bring smiles and give families battling this disease a thrilling opportunity they will remember for a lifetime.
